thanks for the suggestions

The PC is in an office room and no smokers and it is only one fan that is failing and the PC and the cards are free of dust etc.

Hi James Burbidge,

The fan was posted out at the beginning of Xmas week.

I'm not sure if there is anything you can do to chase this up your end (check with local post office, neighbours etc) but if you could do that whilst I obtain another.

Default ASUS A8N-SLI board fan and EN6600 graphics card fans

Hi Davey

thanks for posting the fan before Christmas. I have had a check with the neighbours and postman to no avail.

Also I was wondering if you could help me with the graphics card fan which is a EVERFLOW T125010DM. I tried to get to the Mesh parts people in the UK but I don't seem to be able to persuade anybody that I need a fan. The help team from ASUS asked me for the revision of the bios, the version of the operating system, and if I had run a software diagnostic to determine if the fan was noisy.

Could you please help with the Graphics Card fan too?

if I end up with two northbridge fans I promise to send one back to you

thanks in advance

Regards

James

Default Re:- My Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe Motherboard

Hi

It seems I have the same problem

When booting up by computer I am getting a message “Chip Fan failure or running too slow Press F1 to continue”

I noted down the Bios Power Menu 12 months ago:-
Chip fan speed 6,026 RPM
Chai fan speed 0/2410/2360/2445 RPM

Today:-
Chip fan speed 3,924 RPM
Chai fan speed 0 RPM

Can you supply replacement fans for this machine

Thanks
N.B. I have cleaned the inside of the case etc.

Hi Mikedf,

Are you still at the same address?

Have you also read here that the changing of the fan requires you to have access to the underside of the motherboard in order to release it?

Hi Davey
Many thanks for your response. Yes I ams till at the same address Ry***ds.
I noted the details in an ealier post about removing the Motherboard. I am assuming the chip fan is the small one.
Not too sure which is the CHAI fan though!!

Best regards

Hi Mikedf,

The fan is now on it's way to you.

I can find no reference to the chai fan header. It's possible that is a chassis fan but they tend not have any monitoring capabilities built in.

Do you have any fans that have stopped completely in your system.
