Hi, getting pretty annoyed with this now, Nvidia really need to sort themselves out.
People on here maywell have heard of the problem with nvidia graphics cards and black screens? Well that's the problem I've got. I reinstalled Vista, updated for the card to the latest and now I see the BIOS screen, loading of windows, and then on the welcome screen it's black and I get no signal. I try uninstalling the driver, and then installing an earlier driver, same result. I can boot into safemode when I've got the latest driver installed, that's fine. It's just when I install any kind of geforce driver, I get the problems, so my PC is practically useless atm... Anyone got any ideas? Specs: Core 2 Duo E6750 Asus P5N-E SLI 8800GTS 320MB 4GB RAM 500GB Samsung SATA HDD Thanks in advance if anyone is able to help with this problem which has been annoying me for about 2 weeks now... |

Hi Peewee27,
In C:\DRIVERS you should find a copy of the driver used when we made your system. Have you tried using this one? Davey

Thanks for the reply Davey.
I reformatted the C drive using the vista disc, so lost everything on it sadly. I wasn't aware of the hidden partition. I've since tried pressing F10 at the BIOS screen, but it doesn't display a list of options, just some command text ending in 'OPTIN'. I had to upgrade my bios on my motherboard to support my Razer Copperhead mouse, possibly this is the reason why F10 doesn't allow me to select from the menu people have spoken about. Would you be able to post a list or link me to the drivers that came with the PC when it was sent to me so I can try them? |
