Question Monitor blank after resume from standby

When I wake my Vista (Home Premium 32 bit) PC from standby the screen remains blank.

If I unplug the DVI cable and plug it back in the screen appears.

Any ideas?

regards,
Andrew

Default Screen still blanking

I've had no response to my question - has no one else experienced this issue?

Regards,
Andrew

Hi habler,

Does this happen every time without fail? Is it a recent occurrence? If so, can you recall anything changed just prior to the problem appearing?

This could be either a fault with the graphics output, the cable or the monitor on the hardware side. On the software side it could be the video driver not reacting waking from sleep properly, or a third party driver/application interfering.

Hi,

This is happening on my brand new Mesh PC.

I have seen it wake the screen only once after it's been "sleeping" for several hours.

There isn't much software on the PC yet - Just MS Office 2007 and Bullguard. I have installed a printer.

Regards,
Andrew

Default Standby problems

The blank screen problem on wake up still continues. It seems to actually be intermittent.

It is frustrating as when it happens the only way to get the image back is to unplug the DVI cable and plug it back in.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Andrew

Angry Getting same blank monitor problem with my new system

I'm getting the same problem - sometimes there is no dispaly when PC has 'slept'. It usually happens after a lengthy sleep (2-3 hours.)
I have a Viewsonic monitor and use a VGA cable.
