Instaling new hard drive

Have just got my new machine ( Elite i7 ny2) from yourselves with a Samsung 500 GB Serial ATA 16 MB Buffer but need more storage so I have placed an order from Mesh of a new Samsung 750 Gb Spinpoint F1 DT part no HD753LJ. My plan is use the new H/D as my 'start up 'disk and use the old disk as storage as I beleive the newer disk is a faster drive, what is the best way - easyist to do this I would idealy like to copy my current saved games onto the new disk.
