Default Mesh PC - no signal input

1. I had my Mesh PC running and only had WinTV running.

2. The PC screen went all black and no sound.

3. I tried rebooting a few times, but I see nothing on the screen (monitor says no signal input), checked the cables etc... I can hear the PC fans etc... though I do admit it was a bit warm in the room etc...

4. When I pressed the power on button, I did hear the PC make a single beep after 3-4 seconds. And the num lock keys on the keyboard respond (when its starts 3 lights flash e.g. caps on, num lock etc.. and then go to normal).

5. I am not sure if it loads into Windows, as I can't see what is on the screen, I press the mouse button to click as my Windows login as no password... I was hoping to hear the Window logon sound.... but it is possible I am missing the spot.....

6. Also, I turn off the power by pressing the power button on the front, but the PC closes down right away... so perhaps Windows is not running? I guess it would do a controlled shutdown....

Not sure where to start... I have a spare graphics card... so could try that.... Any further advice on diagnostics?

MY PC: Mesh Athlon 64, Win XP SP2, RAID

I still cannot see anything on the screen. I can hear the fans. I can hear a single short beep after a few seconds.

1. I have swapped the graphics card.

2. I have removed all the PCI cards e.g. audio, modem, WinTV.

3. When I removed the keyboard and mouse, I hear 3 short beeps.

4. I have removed the battery and re-inserted.

The motherboard is an ASUS A8V Deluxe.....

I have a similar problem if not the same 1, and i have just logged on to these forums to try and find a solution to it.

My computer started randomly crashing as in it would freeze and the screen would go blank, and was none responsive, the monitor said 'no signal input' when turned off and on again.

The problem started last year but 1 day it just stopped crashing and worked fine, however it started again and i did a system restore to try and fix it, after which it worked and didnt crash but took about 20 minutes to load up. Then about 2 weeks ago it started the random crashing again.

I dont know if its some incompaitble programme clashing with Vista or its something physcially wrong i.e overheating, the symptoms are really sporadic and i would like to know if there have been many people with the same problem and if there is a way to fix it.

1. I have isolated the issue to the graphics card i.e. ATI Sapphire HD card....

2. When I power up, the screen is always blank and hear BIOS beeps.

3. Though on one occasion, it booted up fully, but after 10mins screen went blank.

4. Very annoyed the Sapphire card is under warrantee, but I don't qualify as I am the second owner. Why do they make warrantees like this?

5. Also, I removed the CMOS battery, I lost the orginal settings. If anyone knows how I can get them would be appreciated. The defaults appear to work etc...

5. Mesh usually use the default settings themselves, so you should be fine.
