Power Save/Sleep/Hibernation Problem
Please can anyone offer any ideas on this? I have updated all drivers and all Vista options.
The PC still can't enter sleep/hibernate. The noise is like an electronic alarm, rather than a mechanical failure. Very frustrating that I have to either leave the PC on all day or fully shut down.
Would this have been tested by MESH as part of their quality assurance process during the recent repair I had done which replaced my motherboard, RAm and HD?
Original post below......
My MESH PC just back from repair. New Samsung HD, new Asus MB, 4Gb RAM. Running Vista SP2. Whenever I try to let PC enter a power-save mode (sleep or hibernate) it goes throught the motions but then, just when you expect silence it emits a loud continuous tone - sounds a bit like an alarm. It is not from the speakers. I don't believe it is a fan or other 'mechanical' noise. I kill power completely and reboot and everything seems fine??? Appreciate any ideas - I can't seem to find any similar symptoms reported via Google. Thank You.
