Default The Unofficial "How will Half-Life Episode 3 end?" thread.

I can only see one conclusion to this series.

Gordon Freeman walks into a bar and the G-Man is there. The G-Man says "Hey Mr Freeman, sorry for all that trying-to-kill-you stuff and all that". Gordon says - "Meh, don't mention it mate. Want a pint?". G-Man says "Yeah, go on then, I'll have a lager."

They talk about Black Mesa and City 17 and have a few laughs. They share a packet of pork scratchings before the camrea pans out and fades, leaving us all with the most anti-climactic ending in gaming history.

What are your theories?

I'm not sure how Episode 3 will end but I'm looking forward to the next part?

Are they going to do Half LIfe 3 and with a brand new graphics engine?

Hal Life 2 blew me away when it first came out. Infact it still is pretty good 4/5 years later

I don't recall the G-man ever trying to kill Gordan, in fact its him who sends him on the missions.

This story will never end as long as it sells then it will fade away without an ending just like Duke Nukem did but I guess Alex will marry Gordan and with the removal of the fertility field it will fade out with screaming twins in a cot and Gordan sat in a room with his head in his hands a crowbar leaning against the chair and him surrounded with posters of the good old days.

I'm not expecting much conclusion at all, in fact they would do well to leave a bit of room for movement in case they decide to 'reboot' the series in a decade or so. However, the Combine will end up getting their arses kicked; decisively or not is another thing.
