Default Dual Monitor?

Hi,
I really hope someone can help

I’ve just ordered a Mesh Elite Q4 FX computer… I got it changed from Vista to XP professional - The graphics card is 256MB nVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS - DVI, HDTV, TV-Out.

Basically I want to find out if I can run 2 monitors from this PC? I work with Music software and 2 monitors is far better.

If I can’t directly run 2 monitors from this pc can you tell me how I can go about it?

Thanks so much

Hi Scrivo,

We tend have a variety of manufacturers of each card we do so the configuration can vary. Whilst I have yet to see a card we do only have a single output logically they do exist.

The typical card will have either two DVI ports, or a single DVI port and singe D-SUB port.

If you only had the single socket then you would need to add an additional video card.

And no matter what it is you do, two monitors makes things so much easier.

Can anyone recommend a good graphics card to run two monitors?

I know I am bumping an old thread but I have just ordered my new Mesh PC and I would like to run two monitors.

What factors should I consider?

Is there anything I should be warned about?

Thanks
